Course content
The main topics are: 1. Similarities and differences in the lexicon of Czech and English (and other European languages); 2. The ethnography of communication; 3. Pragmatics of communication (cooperative principles); 4. Forms of address and first name terms; 5. Analysis of spoken and written texts 6. Language and identity.
