Introduction to the course; Current approaches to teaching and learning foreign languages to young learners, e.g. Task-based learning, Topic-based learning, Total Physical Response, Communicative Approach; Teaching language systems: vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar.

apply the theoretical knowledge about teaching the language systems in own lesson planning either when focusing each system separately or integrating them, fnd some language activities in various resources including the Internet and evaluates how appropriate they are for pupils' language development and for the key competences development, self-evaluate own skills and describe own strengths and weaknesses in English language teaching skills, use the subject's metalanguage. |
