Orientate the causes, course and outcome of the Great War , understood Discontinuity , which marked the beginning of the "short twentieth century " and the growing interdependence of world politics , which did not start the German surrender , knowledge of the rise of totalitarian rule and authoritarian states, as well as the progress and results of the Second World War including the dual role of the Soviet Union - as an ally of the third Reich, and later the West. |

the circumstances of the emergence of totalitarian states and powers not only as a result of the Great War. It describes post-war development as a major factor in further development. It analyzes the impact of ideologies based on social darwins. It compares the communist and national sodisliastic dictatorship and the way it is presented in teaching. It will define the teacher's options for dealing with this substance. Clarify the different interpretation of communist and national socialist crimes in Czech historiography and compare it with the interpretation of world historiography |

Learning outcomes of the course unit The student will assimilate the basic typology of dictatorships and totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, will be able to argue through historical events of recent history, generalize and didactically apply acquired knowledge, focus on professional literature and electronic media. |
