Knowledge
Orientate the causes, course and outcome of the Great War , understood Discontinuity , which marked the beginning of the "short twentieth century " and the growing interdependence of world politics , which did not start the German surrender , knowledge of the rise of totalitarian rule and authoritarian states, as well as the progress and results of the Second World War including the dual role of the Soviet Union - as an ally of the third Reich, and later the West, represents a major advantage for the study of 20th century history .
learning outcomes
Student explains the emergence of totalitarian states and powers, not only as a result of the Great War. Describes postwar development as an important factor for further development. Analyzes the impact of ideology rooted in the sociálího darwinsmu. Compares communist and nationalist dictatorship sodisliastickou and method of its presentation in the classroom. Teachers will define options in dealing with this matter. Illustrates the different interpretation of the Communist and National Socialist crimes in the Czech historiography and compares it with interpretation and world historiography.
