Course content
Students will present their own ideas of effective teaching and they will apply it in school practice. This discipline is aimed at deepen and broaden the knowledge and specific knowledge from previous courses with emphasis on the educational use at a later teaching practice. Therefore, the selected topics are chosen according to curriculum. Attention will be paid to current textbooks and contemporary historiography and application of new knowledge in teaching. Topics: The Problems of the oldest civilizations in the world. Mesopotamia - Samaria, Babylonia and Assyria. Hittites, Phoenicians and Israelites. Egyptian civilization, in light of contemporary Egyptology (including the Czech research). Minoan and Mycenaean culture. The birth and expansion of Greek antiquity. The emergence of Rome and his journey from the republic to a world empire. The contribution of Greco-Roman civilization. Termination of the ancient world.

The factual knowledge of ancient history, good knowledge of literature, professional and educational books of facts are cardinal.
