Course content
The main focus of the subject is to study the basic circuits of nonartificial music with a focus on Czech jazz music in the Anglo-American context and its two basic genre genres: jazz music and popular music. Part of the subject is to gain a deeper knowledge of this type of music in the field of musical-theoretical focusing on the rhythmic and harmonic component. The partial task is also a thorough knowledge of the fundamental musical works of Czech and world nonartificial music of the 20th and 21st centuries. An indispensable part of the subject is also the reflection of the relationships of nonartificial music with musical didactics and pedagogy. Studying and critically reviewing current textbooks of music with a focus on non-artistic music on all types of primary and secondary schools is also expected.

metodologického hlediska. Doktorand dokáže kriticky myslet a vytvářet vlastní závěry týkající se jednotlivých úseků dané tematické oblasti. The student is able to analyze independently the studied literature and evaluate it from a methodological point of view. The PhD student can think critically and make his / her own conclusions regarding individual sections of the given thematic area.
