Course content
1. Didactics of extracurricular education; project-based learning; field trips as a didactic format; seminar organization 2. Geography and historical context of the region: introduction to the excursion area 3. Abandoned settlements and landscape changes following the expulsion of the German population 4. Selection of the excursion destination - student proposals, arguments for and against, reaching consensus 5. Planning the excursion from didactic, academic, and practical perspectives; division of tasks and presentations 6. Introduction to working with historical sources, scholarly literature, and online resources 7. Maps, chronicles, archival materials: practical work with historical sources 8. Practice of on-site presentations - analysis, evaluation, discussion 9. Didactic materials and activities for primary education (linked to specific locations of the planned excursion) 10-12. The excursion itself: exploring sites of memory; implementation of presentations and didactic activities 13. Feedback, final reflection, course evaluation

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Team project (50/number of students) - 30 hours per semester
  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 8 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 15 hours per semester
