Course content
? Familiarization with the content, mapping of current psycho-pedagogical experience and skills of students ? Definitions and purpose of special education, excursion into history (historical background) ? The concept of norms and normality ? Child (student) with disabilities, their personality and needs, teacher skills ? Overview and classification of different types of disability ? Etiological factors of disability, the possibility of prevention, social context ? Integration of children and pupils with special educational needs ? Consultations and discussions of compensatory processing works ? Specifics of access to children with handicaps ? Current Issues in Special Education (legislation, European and global trends, sociological and philosophical questions of integration and inclusion) ? Video with the theme of a child (student) with disabilities in educational situations (analysis, discussion) ? Prevention, diagnosis and therapy in special education

The student has a basic overview of knowledge in human biology, philosophy and social sciences at the graduate level of secondary education.
learning outcomes
Students will be oriented on the base issue of social inclusion of people with special needs, in the terminology used and interdisciplinary contexts. They will acquire attitudes towards pupils with disabilities required to perform the teaching profession.
