Course content
1. The progress of thinking about the raising and the education: the basic pedagogical and andragogy terms. 2. The rise, development and today´s state of the adult education: progress of the adult education, social connections of modern education, the adult education as the social movement, compensatory function of the adult education, the formation of the Czech adult education, the present situation at the adult education. 3. The function of the adult education. 4. The institution form of the education and the adult learning: the changing influence of institutions, the institution in thinking of the andragogy, the social recognition of self-managed learning. 5. The organization for the adult education: problems of the research of the organizations for the adult education, the limit of creation of the system for the adult education. 6. The target groups at the adult education. 7. The adult education at the productive age another professional education, company education as the part of another professional education, interest education, civic education. 8. The education at the postproductive age senior education. 9. The curriculum and didactics at the adult education: the curriculum and common goals of the adult education. 10. The curriculum creation at the traditions of the andragogy, the trends of curriculum development. 11. The state and the adult education educational politics, the directions of the state intervention politics. 12. The professional adult education: the work world in the pedagogy and the andragogy, the importance of another professional education, the accessibility of another education, the trends of another professional education.

Knowledge
- to distinguish and to define the basic pedagogical categories,
- to explain the pedagogy as the science in the historicical and present context of the society,
- to analyze the influence of society changes on the raising and the education and to be able to give reasons of their impact,
- to evaluate possibilities of co-operation of the pedagogy and the other scientific branches,
- to give reasons for the importance of the pedagogical research for theory and practice,
- to justify the importance of pedagogical research for theory and practice.
Skills
- to identify the present problems of the pedagogical theory and practice and to propose their solutions,
- to illustrate the utilization of the pedagogical theory with practical examples,
- to make use of the professional pedagogical terms.

Knowledge
- to introduce the basic terminology (education, learning, lifelong learning),
- to introduce adragogy as field of study concerning the adult education, including the andragogy clasification,
- to distinguish between formal, non-formal and informal education and learning,
- to distinguish between the adult education in productive and postproductive age (the purpose, types and functions),
- to explain the principles of lifelong education assessment and recognition,
- to distinguish between the types of the institutions for education of adults, including the institutions focused in this type of education only in a certain part of their activities,
- to explain the adult education in a sense of the educational process (goals, content, methods and forms of the adult education, learning conditions in the context of leading the learning activities of participants).
Skills
- to classify a chosen educational activity into the relevant category,
- to use the International Classification of the Educational Programmes ISCED,
- to use the tools for educational institutions quality evaluation, the tools for educational programmes evaluation, and the tools for life-long learning lecturers evaluation,
- to work out the educational project for adults corresponding to given criteria.
