Course content
The course introduces the student to the relation between dramatic creation and possibilities of its competence in community and educational activities. In the lectures students will get acquainted with the different directions, methods and techniques both theoretically and practical examples. Work in the seminar takes place with an emphasis on gaining personal experience. Students will take part in model lessons. Based on experience and theoretical knowledge, students will prepare their model projects for specific groups of participants. Topics 1. Theater as mediator of social events 2. Community theater activities 3. Drama, ritual, theater 4. Theater for community development 5. Participatory forms of theater 6. Theater of the oppressed 7. Theater Forum 8. Documentary theater and verbatim techniques 9. Methods and techniques of participative forms of theater 10. Creating a project of participative theatrical practices for particular groups

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 26 hours per semester

To understand basic concepts of dramatic art. To be familiar with the basic principles of creative drama.
