Knowledge
Knows the maturation of the key organ systems and systems of humans (motor, CNS, respiratory system, sexual system, immune system), especially with regard to the normal operation and education in kindergartens.
Knows the important substances for human nutrition, their importance for the human body and their impact on human health (including negative ones), especially with regard to nutrition and drinking habits of children.
Knows the main threats to human health, including the causes and pathogens of major diseases, with an emphasis on preschool children.
Knows the basics of health science and first aid.
Can explain the historical context of the development of the concept of the child and its current form.
Can characterize the needs of a preschool child.
Can explain the importance and feasibility of play and toys for the preschool child.
Skills
Can assess the normal facilities and equipment of the kindergarten, activities and daily routine of the kindergarten with regard to the possibilities of preschool children given by their ontogenetic development and to pupils with special educational needs.
Can select an appropriate diagnostic technique based on the situation and use it in practice.
Can apply knowledge of children's rights and ethical aspects of the teaching profession.
