Course content
|
In Final seminar to practice questions and problems related to ongoing Professional and Continuous practice of social work students are solved. Through cooperative learning the following topics are discussed: 1) Supervision: Essential insights into the practice of supervision in social service organizations. Supervision as a qualified surveillance on social worker practice in social service organizations, relations between workers and transactions between workers and users of the services, and relationships between staff and family members of service users. 2) The functioning of organizations providing social work services 3) The life situation of individuals, families, groups and communities: mapping situations, planning, implementation and evaluation processes leading to problem solving 4) Linking theoretical knowledge in the field of social work with practical experience.

A prerequisite for the successful launch and completion of the course is the knowledge acquired in theoretical disciplines, preparing students for the practical implementation of social work with emphasis on methods and techniques of social work and related legislation (courses Introduction to Social Work - KPG / USPR, and Social Work - KPG / SPRA and Social Work B - KPG / SPRB). Fulfilment of the course also assumes the current implementation of the course Professional practice B (KPG / KPRB). Training place for the practice, students choose from a range of organizations providing social services registered under Act No. 108/2006 no. on social services. This is an important rule, without which its the requirements to the course cannot be successfully met. |

At the beginning of student?s practice and in conjunction with internship instructors of selected organizations specific learning objectives are set to formulate the learning contract for professional practice, which students try to reach through the ongoing practice. During the final seminar of the practice students achieve chosen objectives, consult and evaluate them. Thez mutually share information and experience. Through seminars and supporting proffesional practices students gain experience in practicing supervision in social work organizations, they get orientation on social administration system across sectors of the economy, they get orientation on social services classification and conditions of their provision in legal environment of the Czech Republic. |
