Course content
1. Models and concepts of giftedness (Tannenbaum, Renzulli, Monks, Gagne ...). 2. Characteristics of gifted pupils (types of gifted, characteristic manifestations of gifted children and pupils in school). 3. Self-concept of gifted pupils, social-emotional problems of the gifted. 4. Requirements for the teacher's personality when working with gifted pupils (performance and character qualities, pedagogical-psychological skills). 5. Specifics of communication with psychologist, special educator and parents of gifted children and pupils. 6. Identification of gifted children-pupils in kindergarten (forms, ways, methods). 7. Approaches to education of the gifted (acceleration, enrichment, socialization). 8. Creating an individual educational plan for a gifted pupil. 9. Assessment of gifted children (functions and forms of assessment, common gaps in gifted assessment, perceptions of equity). 10. Inclusion of gifted children in the traditional collective of the kindergarten (forms and methods supporting interaction of gifted children and pupils with other pupils). 11. Problem situations in working with gifted children and pupils in the Kindergarten. 12. Case studies of gifted children.

- to define the personality of the gifted from a legislative and curricular point of view, - clarify models and concepts of giftedness, - evaluate one's own personality prerequisites for working with a gifted child, - describe the characteristic manifestations of gifted children, - characterise different approaches to the education of gifted children, - assess the possibilities of inclusion of the gifted in kindergarten and the appropriateness of different forms of assessment of gifted children.
Skills
- create a plan for working with a gifted child, - characterize the specifics of the personality of gifted children, distinguish individual manifestations of giftedness with regard to age, innate predispositions and the degree of development of abilities and skills, - apply the different theories of giftedness to practice, - explain the issues of gifted education not only to the professional but also to the general public in practice, - use methods of inclusion for effective gifted education.
