Course content
1. The subject of psychology, psychological phenomena, their characteristics, the importance of psychology 2. Determination of the human psyche 3. Personality structure 4. Activation motivational properties 5. Character and self-regulatory properties 6. Dynamic properties, temperament, basic typology 7. Performance characteristics, abilities, their types, intelligence 8. Personality in difficult life situations (frustration, deprivation, stress, conflict) 11. Sensory processes and perception, errors in social perception 12. Imagination, fantasy, creativity 13. Thinking and speech 14. Memory and attention 15. Emotions and will 16. Psychological methods

Learning activities and teaching methods

Knowledge
- to describe basic knowledge of general psychology in the scope of secondary school education
- Know the key psychic characteristics of your own personality, special abilities, skills, attitudes, ways of responding
- briefly characterize the personality of their parents (ie parents), ie to list key features, special abilities, skills, attitudes, responses, interests, etc.

- to independently interpret the results of personality questionnaires and tests
- to make a simple analysis (comparison) of the basic characteristics of his personality with the results of self-knowledge techniques that measure these properties

describe basic psychological methods
characterise the psychic phenomenon (sensory processing, perception, imagination, memory, phantasy, creativity, thinking, speech, attention, emotions and will)
describe the terms personality, define its structure
- explain the main models of personality trait determination
- characterise individual personal components (motivation, character, attitudes, self-regulatin attribute, temperament and its basic typologies, abilities, aptitudes, intelligence, creativity)
- make a list of basic knowledges about shaping personality in difficult life situations (frustration, deprivation, stress and conflict)
Skills
- provide self-reflection of one´s own personality, i. e. describe and critically analyse the results of non-standardized techniques focused on self-knowledge
- to recognize the possible factors of determining the development of some characteristics of their personality, ie to try to distinguish the features inherited from ancestors from the properties acquired during the development
- set the goals of one´s own development
- apply theoretical knowledges about coping with difficult life situations while their solving
- write a seminar paper on "The description of some of my personality characteristics, their possible determinations and self-regulation"
