Course content
|
1. Fundamentals of the methodology of teaching a professional foreign language. Specifics of pupils. General versus specialist language in terms of linguistic sub-disciplines. 2. Real school practice. Task-Based Instruction, Content-Based Language Instruction and Student-Centered Approaches in OCJ teaching. 3. Materials for teaching OCJ in Russian. Work in the language laboratory. 4. Professional translation and mediation in OCJ. Working with text. Functional exercises. 5. Lexical training: electrical engineering, telecommunication and computer technology, chemistry, 6. Lexical training: engineering and construction. 7. Lexical training: medical sciences, agriculture and forestry 8. Lexical training: arts and applied arts, gastronomy, hotel management, tourism, commerce 9. Hospitalization in foreign language teaching at secondary vocational school. 10. Field teaching in a professionally specific environment 11. Students' microlearning on a sub-topic in a selected field, elaboration of a teaching text with audiovisual support. 12. Students' micro-approaches on a sub-vocational topic in a selected field, elaboration of a teaching text with audiovisual support 13. Papers on a sub-topic in the field of professional language.
