To introduce and classify hearing impairments, their causes, and the possibilities of prevention and diagnostics
To classify and characterize the groups of people with hearing impairments
To describe the possibilities of therapy and rehabilitation for people with hearing impairments

To apply theoretical knowledge that regards development and education of persons with hearing impairment.
To apply theoretical knowledge that regards basic communication systems and approaches - as well as the possibility of specific intervention.
To apply theoretical knowledge that regards social inclusion and employment of persons with hearing impairments.
