Course content
1. Interpretation of children's artistic expression. Children's artistic expression - origin, essence, development, characteristics, functions, typology. Psychophysiological conditions of the preschool child for artistic activities. Artistic expression in the context of personality development. Typology of artistic expression 2. A look at the past and present art education of preschool children in terms of the schools, programs, and methods applied. Historical changes in approaches to children's artistic expression. Children's artistic expression in the context of 20th-century pedocentric tendencies. 3. Framework educational program for preschool Vv. Possibilities of developing key competencies in art activities in kindergarten. The concretisation of the expected outcomes of the RAP PV 4. Sorting of art tasks for preschoolers - art series and projects. Issues of systematic planning of art activities. Didactic characteristics of art forms and techniques and their overview. 5. Linking art activities with other areas of activities in kindergarten. Interdisciplinary context of pre-school education 7. Reflective dialogue over art creation and its potential for the child's personal development. 6. Artefiletics for preschoolers as one of the possible concepts of art education in kindergarten 7. Idea as a key moment of art creation. Methods of developing creativity in art education of children in kindergarten. Exploratory art activities 8. Developing visual literacy in preschool children. Visual culture and the role of the image in contemporary society. Cultural competence 9. Gallery and museum education in relation to kindergarten. Preschool children and visual arts. Artwork of the present and the past as an inspirational starting point for art activities for kindergarten children. Mediation of art in public space. 10. Toy - its design and educational functions. 11. Children's illustration and its educational potential. Possibilities 12. Contemporary curatorial approaches - possibilities of presenting children's art and contact with the public

to clarify some contemporary artistic tendencies;
to interpret a chosen work of art from the present and the past.

to design, prepare and structure art activities in kindergarten based on didactic categories;
to verify and reflect on their didactic work in art education;
to adapt art activities to the specific age group of children.
