Course content
|
The content of the course aims at understanding contemporary art in the context of selected issues of visual culture, selected epochs or specific artifacts of visual art. The student is challenged to independently solve an assignment during the semester with the goal of finding an original solution and presenting the result of his/her own creation. Students are introduced to newly acquired knowledge and experience in all fields of study and develop an individual project. In the creative process, they can access technological and media experiments. Students reflect theoretically and consciously on the practices of their work, in art historical and social contexts, but at the same time freely experiment and search for hitherto unknown situations and forms of communication. 1. - 5. - "Painting" - an individually solved two-dimensional composition (or series of compositions). (The process from consulting sketches, elaboration of variant solutions and realization of the selected theme by any painting, drawing or 2D digital technique.) 6th - 9th - "Phenomenon" - Creation of an audiovisual or performative composition that responds to a particular phenomenon found by the student. 10. - 13. "I'll take Pilsen" - individual street art/land art installation (the choice of object, place and art technique is arbitrary).
