Course content
The course offers an overview of industrial property law with consideration of European legislation and focuses on the fundamental principles of legal protection of industrial property objects. 1. Introduction to industrial property rights and historical development in the Czech Republic 2. Structure and hierarchy of legal regulations in the field of industrial property rights 3. The Industrial Property Office 4. Trademark protection 5. Industrial design protection 6. European Union Trade Mark (EUTM) 7. Unregistered Community design 8. Enforcement of industrial property rights 9. Database search and prior rights research 10. Technical solutions (patents and utility models) 11. Unfair competition 12. Licensing of industrial property rights 13. International aspects of industrial property protection
