Course content
|
The course is intended for all students interested in learning about the law in a broader than normative context. It introduces both the historical development of sociological and socio-legal theories, including their key figures, as well as specific topics in the field of social functioning and operation of law (bureaucracy, law as a profession, law and Islamic society). It also presents students with a basic overview of quantitative and qualitative methods used in social sciences, with an emphasis on the ability to critically interpret the results of methods used.
