Course content
|
Lectures 1. Accidents in nuclear medicine and methods to mitigate their radiological consequences, decontamination contaminated space and objects, stochastic and non-stochastic effects of radiation, radiation sickness. 2. Basic units and quantities in dosimetry, workplace monitoring, personal dosimetry, types of dosimeters, detection ionizing radiation (ionization chambers, GM tubes, scintillation detectors?). 3. Collimators - functions and species. 4. History and principles of radionuclide examinations. Data processing in nuclear medicine. 5. - 6. Types of scintigraphic examination, static, dynamic and whole body examination. 7. - 8. Dynamic scintigraphy - the concept of ROI, functional curves, parametric images. Quantitative evaluation scintigraphic examination. 9. Repetition Exercises 1. - 2. Collimators, their functions and distribution. 3. Motion scintigraph. 4. Scintillation camera. 5. - 6. Data processing in nuclear medicine. 7. Scintigraphic examination of lungs. 8. Skeletal scintigraphy. 9. Scitnigraphic methods in cardiology.
