Course content |
Content of lectures: Concept of palliative care - basic definition. Hospice and its integration into the health care system, long-term care clinics. Family in the context of palliative care. The needs of dying. Spiritual care. Care focused on the psychosocial needs of terminally ill. Human response in individual stages of dying. Management of pain (type and form of pain). Euthanasia. Content of the exercise: The Nursing Process in a Patient with Oncological Disease. Nursing process in a patient with pain. Nursing process in a patient in the terminal stage of the disease. Discussion on euthanasia. Discussion on Dying in the Czech Republic.
