Week 4 Defining the word "multicultural". Multicultural aspects. Week 5 Communicating across cultures. Cultural influences. Week 6 Gender and communication. What is "masculine" and "feminine". Week 7 Stereotyping and generalisation. Czech culture stereotypes. Week 8 Body language. Communication styles. Communication and situational appropriateness. Week 9 Exploring language. Definitions for prejudice, discrimination, racism, sexism, and homophobia Week 10 Politeness in intercultural communication. Sexism in English and Czech. Political correctness. Discussing controversial issues. Week 11 Students' presentations. Week 12 Students' presentations. Week 13 Consolidation and evaluation.
