Graduates prove orientation in linguistic system of Russian across all language levels, they are capable of multiaspectual language analysis of text of middle difficulty. They prove familiarity with the evolution of Russian literature (based on personal reader experience), knowledge of children and adolescent literature. They can analyze and interpret literary text from the literary theoretical point of view using modern methods. They prove capability of analysis and interpretation of literary text from literary theoretical and linguistic perspective using modern methods, they master modern didactical and research methods, criterias of didactical evaluation of teaching texts and aids aimed for elementary schools. They get language competence in Russian on level C1 the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, they are capable of using expert and didactical knowledge for applying specific teaching methods, creating of an educational programme, diagnosing learning approaches and learning disorders of their students. They are capable of making independent decisions and solving specific situations arising in Russian language classes, explaining and defending selected teaching approaches both before a board of students and teachers, they are capable of a teamwork solving given problems (in the domain of Russian language and literature) using corresponding research methods. They are capable of presenting results of both individual and team solution of given linguistic, literary or didactical problem, defending it before the board of professionals and their study mates, they are capable of expert communication in studied language (Russian).

Profile of the programme
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of blocks of theoretical courses focused on the Russian language, Russian cultural studies, Russian literature and the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language. At the same time, it contains a block/blocks of courses focusing on theoretical knowledge in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in the teaching profession. The programme also includes teaching practice and student mobility. The graduate of this programme is prepared for teaching English at secondary schools, and also can apply for various positions in fields where the knowledge of Russian is required.
