Course content
1. Didactics of biology as a scientific field and its inclusion in the system of sciences, the subject of investigation of this field, tasks, its importance and functions in teacher education. Subject and methods of scientific investigation of this subject didactics. 2. The history of natural history teaching and didactics of biology in our country, important personalities of the natural sciences and education in relation to the natural sciences, especially biology. 3. Position of biology in school, its meaning and tasks, didactic and factual component of the subject, peculiarities and relations to other subjects. 4. Objectives of teaching biology at secondary school - from general to specific objectives, taxonomy of objectives, formulation of objectives, verification of teaching objectives. 5. Biology in RVP. Creation of school educational programs. Samples of SVP. 6. Content of biology teaching, concept, structuring of the subject of biology, analysis of the curriculum. 7. Didactic transformation of the scientific content of biology into the content of the teaching subject of biology. The difference in the content of biology as a science and in the content of biology as a subject. 8. Principles, rules and principles of teaching in biology. 9. Teaching methods in teaching biology. 10. Meaning and function of teaching methods, classification of methods, possibilities of their use in different phases of teaching biology. 11. Choice of teaching methods in relation to teaching objectives. 12. Evaluation and classification in natural history, diagnostic principles. 13. Reflection and evaluation of teaching results - meaning and basic terms.
