Course content
|
This course consists of these issues: Climate and its influence on other geospheres. Methods in climatology. Earth's atmosphere - composition and processes. Synoptic meteorology. Classifications of climate, palaeoclimatology. Quaternary and Holocene climate change - causes and effects. ENSO. Human impact on the climate. Biosphere and its relations with other geospheres, cycles of fundamental elements and substances in the global Earth system. Ecological biogeography, organism and environment, biocenosis, ecosystem, migration, geobiomes and their distribution on the Earth. Changes in the distribution of organisms on the Earth with regard to changing environmental conditions. Pedosphere and its relations with other geospheres. The basic components of soil, pedogenesis. Properties of soils, soil forming processes, a soil structure, soil types and styles, soil profiles and horizons. Soil distribution on the Earth in relation to geobiomes. Changes in the soil distribution on the Earth with regard to changing environmental conditions, permafrost.
