Course content
|
This course consists of these issues: Didactic analysis of selected thematic units in reference to their educational opportunities. Didactic transformation of chosen geographical problems. Global, intercultural and environmental education and other educational options of geography. Problem teaching. Possibilities of different teaching methods in geography. Methodology of processing geographical project. A course of processing of the geographical project, motivation, task analysis, options of solution, project structure, activities plan and outline, project processing, project summary, presentation of results in front of the class, discussion, proposals of solution. Usage of the project. Ideas for creating geographic projects. Preparation of exams.

Students will grasp the specifics of geography and its position in the system of school subjects. They will realize its possibilities and potential in term of inter-subject relations. Students will be acquainted with current issues regarding FEPs and they will be able to apply them, implement didactic analysis and justify chosen solutions. Students will be able to use various teaching methods and apply them for given topics. They provide subject matter in the context and adapt it for the level and age of pupils. |
