Course content
1. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - mosses, ferns - characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and way of life, significance in nature and for humans. 2. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - structure and functioning of plants - photosynthesis, respiration, water regime, stem, root, leaf and flower, inflorescence and fruit. 3. Methodology of working with plant material in the 1st grade, creation of herbariums, work with identification aids, simple experimental activity in the botanical part of the curriculum Man and his world. 4. Didactic-factographic analysis of global problems of humanity - problems of an ecological, environmental and social nature. 5. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - mushrooms and lichens, characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and way of life, significance in nature and for humans, edible and poisonous mushrooms. 6. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - herbs, characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and way of life, significance in nature and for humans, economically important herbs - medicinal herbs, ornamental herbs, house plants, etc. 7. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature economically important herbs medicinal herbs, poisonous herbs, ornamental herbs, characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and method of cultivation, importance in nature and for humans. 8. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - woody species, characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and way of life, significance in nature and for humans, economically important woody species. 9. Didactic-factographic analysis of the diversity of nature - economically important plants, cereals, fodder crops, oil crops, fruits and vegetables, etc., characteristics, occurrence, body structure, course and method of cultivation, significance in nature and for humans. 10. Didactic-factographic analysis of the topic of inanimate nature - soil, rocks, minerals. Characteristics, signs, types, meaning in nature, representatives of rocks and minerals. 11. Water and air - significance for the life of plants, animals and humans, water circulation in nature, air flow. 12. Didactic-factographic analysis of the cross-cutting topic environmental education and its integration into the teaching of the educational area Man and his world - conditions of life, human activities and environmental problems, the relationship of man to the environment. 13. Didactic-factographic analysis of a selected topic from the educational field Man and his world with the application of the principles of integrating the content of the curriculum according to the choice of the type of integration (consolidation, concentration, coordination, consolidation).

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 52 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 50 hours per semester
  • Graduate study programme term essay (40-50) - 30 hours per semester

The student characterizes and can realize project and cooperative teaching in the area of Man and his world.

The student can prepare a natural walk and excursion. The student is able to conduct scientific observation. The student can prepare and implement simple science experiments. The student is able to find professional and popular educational literature focused on the educational area of Man and his world. Studen is able to formulate teaching assignments from Man and his world. Student works with natural atlases, natural key and processes zoological cards and herbal plants. The student is able to develop thematic educational plans for the educational area of Man and his world.
