Course content
|
The course includes these items: 1. Introduction to the subject of Man and his World. Familiarization with scientific, methodological and regional literature. Scientific and methodological journals. 2. Maps and Plans. 3. Description of a local region. 4. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / Location, Czech statehood, the division of the state /. 5. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / terrain, climate /. 6. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / waters, mineral resources /. 7. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / population and settlement /. 8. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / economy - agriculture, forestry and water service /. 9. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / industry /. 10. Geographical and historical characteristics of the CR / transport and services / 11. CR within Europe, neighboring countries, fundamental information about the world. 12. Neighboring countries - more detailed geographical and historical characteristics. 13. Environmental protection, child?s orientation in time, important historical events, personalities and sights in relation to teaching Man and his World in primary schools, child?s orientation in value system and political organization of society.

Know scientific, methodological and regional literature and scientific and methodological journals. |
Know geographical and historical characteristics of the CR (location, Czech statehood, the division of the state, terrain, climate waters, mineral resources, population and settlement, economy - agriculture, forestry and water service, industry, transport and services). |
Know position of the CR in Europe and know neighboring countries and their geographical and historical characteristics. |
Know environmental protection, child?s orientation in time, important historical events, personalities and sights in relation to teaching Man and his World in primary schools, child?s orientation in value system and political organization of society. |
Skills |

is able to work with cartographic material and digital maps and use them in teaching at a primary school; |
is able to orientate themselves in the field according to plans, maps, a compass, GPS, landmarks and further knowledge |
is able to create simple plans, route sketches, panoramic sketches, etc., is able to cope with didactic transformation and methodical figuration of curriculum; |
is able to identify the problems of regions of different hierarchical levels and utilize them educationally in didactic transformation of curriculum (e.g., multicultural education, education for sustainable development and etc..) |
is able to create PowerPoint presentation of a selected region and use it to present the curriculum in the school or present the region for public; |
cope with evaluation in terms of the subject and as well with self-reflection and self-evaluation. |
