Course content
|
The course includes these items: 1. Methodology of teaching Man and his World (focusing on its national historical and geographical content) as a discipline and its importance at primary school, didactic transformation of scientific knowledge of various disciplines to teaching of subjects in the filed of Man and his World at the primary school. 2. Origin and development of teaching of subjects focused on nature and society, the basic characteristics of development stages of these subjects. 3. Teaching of Man and his World in teaching schemes of selected countries and comparison with Czech Republic. 4. Teaching approaches to Man and his World at present / in terms of the educational programs for Elementary Schools, National Schools. 5. Teaching approaches to national historical and geographical topics at present ? focused on one of the educational areas in FEP EE - Man and his world. 6. Methodological and factual analysis of present Man and his World content (cartography, child?s orientation in space, selected general knowledge of physical and socio-economic geography, physical and socioeconomic characteristics of a local region of our country, Europe and the world, etc.. 7. Methodological and factual analysis of present content Man and his World /continuation/. 8. Inter-subject relations in horizontal and vertical level, Cross-curricular subjects in FEP EE. 9. Formation of ideas, concepts, skills and habits and development of reasoning in Man and his World. Teaching principles and methods and their specificity in teaching of Man and his World. 10. Organizational forms. 11. Specific teaching materials in teaching of Man and his World. 12. Educational aspect of teaching of Man and his World. 13. Man and his World in the SEP.

to explain the position and significance of national history and geography education in the educational area of Man and His World in our educational system, based on the knowledge of historical contexts, a development overview of selected subjects (previously natural history and geography) of the subject Man and His World in our schools, some examples from abroad and knowledge of current educational needs, curricular documents and the school system |
to formulate the main and sub-objectives of the teaching of national historical and geographical topics integrated in the educational area of Man and His World and to incorporate them into the school educational program |
to explain the basic patterns, relationships and contexts of national historical and geographical topis taught in the educational area of Man and his World and to reflect them in practical activities (such as curriculum planning, lessons and field trip planning, in projects, etc.) |
to apply individual methods used in the teaching of topics integrated in the educational area of Man and his World, in particular to assess the various didactic means of teaching, is able to select them appropriately and in some cases also their own outputs (eg. PowerPoint presentations, videos, photographs, worksheets, etc.) |
