Course content
|
The subject is a complement to the obligatory subject of Lexicology and it provides further opportunity to practice the lexical phenomena covered so far (paronyms, homonyms, synonyms, antonyms, polysemy, derivation, conversion, blending, collocations, neologisms, phrasal verbs) in exercises and authentic texts on various topics (human body, types of personalities, sense perception, etc). It develops and deepens the knowledge, extent and ability of the correct use of vocabulary and ability to apply the knowledge of lexical semantics, lexical morphology, phraseology and lexicography in practice.
