Course content
|
Anglophone culture from colonial roots in countries such as Australia, Nigeria, the US and Ireland, exploring how these various national cultures were transformed in the confrontation with colonialism - both specific episodes and general trends. We will analyse both the commonalities and also differences across nations, and also look at the colonial aspects of US influencein the second half of the 20th century and its treatment in film.
