Course content
The political systems of the member states of the EU - basic characteristics Political systems of Benelux countries Political systems of the Italian Republic and the Kingdom of Spain Political systems of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic Finland Political systems of Central Europe (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland) Political systems of Slovenia and Croatia Contemporary trends in political systems of the member states of the EU (Europeanisation, decentralization, etc.)

  • Contact hours - 65 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) (1-10) - 10 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 30 hours per semester

describe the political development, constitutional settings and party-political systems of selected countries

through analysis identify the differences between the written constitution and real political practice
based on knowledge of the characteristics of political systems, independently interpret current events in political systems

compare the individual elements of selected political systems on the basis of the acquired knowledge,
