Main topics: 1. Introduction to history of construction: Building history and its importance for history and cultural landscape. 2. Historical sources: Written historical sources, material historical sources, starting points of the source base for history of construction. 3. Prerequisites for the study of construction history: Historical buildings, their style and functional scope, construction-historical survey and its forms. 4. Methods of study of historical buildings 1: Development of study methods of material sources and their application in the study of historical buildings. 5. Methods of study of historical buildings 2: Differences of methods of SHP and methods of study of construction history, relation to archaeology, art history and ethnography. 6. Terminology of urbanism: Basic urban terminology of settlement units (village, town, castle, monastery). 7. Terminology and typology of buildings 1: General terms of buildings (space, facade, layout). 8. Terminology and typology of buildings 2: Terms of facades, openings and their fillings 9. Terminology and typology of buildings 3: Terms of general arrangement (communication, ceiling, floors) 10. Terminology and typology of buildings 4: Terms of roofs, roofing and roof trusses. 11.
