Course content
Main topics: 1. Selected Thematic Areas of Contemporary Issues in European Historical Heritage - papers and discussions Students. 2. Preparation of a seminar paper (project) 3. Changes in landscapes and settlements in the 20th century, social and political changes, changes in agriculture, collectivisation, socialization of the countryside, new urban construction, housing estates 4. Relationship between city and landscape - location of the city in the landscape, interior and exterior of the city in different locations (typology), landscape in the city and the city in the landscape, the image of the city and the image of the urban landscape 5. Natural environment in the city (terrain, water, greenery, nature and landscape protection, green system, etc.) 6. Current problems of the relationship between landscape and settlements - suburbanisation, peripheralisation, brownfields, new technical landmarks 7. Urban and architectural values of settlements - protection of historic cores, urban and architectural values of towns and villages, monumental analysis of the territory, protection of monumental values of settlements (care plan, regeneration plan) 8. Cultural and historical values of the landscape and their protection
