Course content
Basic topics: 1) Excavation techniques. 2) Identification of archaeological units. 3) Formalized description of stratigraphic units according to a manual. 4) Drawing documentation (cross-sections, plans). 5) Photographic documentation (oblique images). 6) Registration of finds (the so-called bag list). 7) Field diary. 8) Basics of measuring documentation (work with a levelling device and a total station).

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 120 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 40 hours per semester
  • Individual project (40) - 48 hours per semester
