Course content
1. Definition of historical and cultural heritage 2. The different segments of tangible historical and cultural heritage 3. The different segments of intangible historical and cultural heritage 4. Development of theoretical approaches to historical and cultural heritage in Europe (up to the 19th century) 5. Development of theoretical approaches to historical and cultural heritage in Europe (up to the present) 6. Approaches and concepts of cultural and historical heritage in the Czech lands (until the mid-20th century) 7. Approaches and conceptions of cultural and historical heritage in the Czech lands (since the mid-20th century) 8. International conventions until the Second World War 9. UNESCO and international conventions 10. ICOMOS and other international advisory bodies 11. War conflicts and cultural heritage 12. Approaches to popularisation and education in the field of historical and cultural heritage
