Course content
The first part of the course is focused on clarifying basic concept of archaeology and the origin of archaeological sources. During the lectures, attention is paid to the issue of basic archaeological transformations. An outline of both past and contemporary societies cognition based on archaeological sources is also presented as part of the course. The last part is then devoted to the issue of archaeological sources in the Bavarian-Bohemian borderland, and the options of their documentation and interpretation.
