Contents 01. Introduction to film editing - historical context 02. Shot and its importance as a basic building block 03. Synopsis and screenplay of a film story 04. Consultation of a film story synopsis 05. Pre-shooting units in the context of film editing 06. Axes, directions, orientation 07. Sound in film and its importance in editing 08. Compositional narrative methods 09. Story in film 10. Dramatic character 11. Dialogue in film 12. Consultation of off-line editing composition exercises 13. Final screening and evaluation of exercises

Knowledge
about planning simle movie projects, to provide basic knowledge of technical and technological specifics of work with video and its recording, to compare and analyze different artistic expressions by criteria of esthetics, semiotics and technique on basic level, to specify basic knowledge of supporting arts disciplines, about historical and contemporary style canons
Skills
to work with PC and Windows system on user level, to elaborate simple movie project (scenario, realization), to use videocamera and work with its outcomes on basic level, to work independently and activelly and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher, to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate,

Knowledge
of basic terminology and knowledge of elementary terms of film making and postproduction field, of technical and technological procedures in the field of postproduction for cartoon, puppet and featured movie, of basic methodology and procedures of film making and postproduction, about historical and contemporary style canons used in different genres of art and movie creation, about project planning both individually and in a team (sketches, scenarios, storyboards, animating and postproduction works)
Skills
to take and postproduce videoshoot in suitable way, to be aware and use theoretically aquired knowledge of the field of video postproduction, to recognize and use specific limits and options of video postproduction in creative way, to solve technics and technologies of video postproduction, to be able to accept and assert in a way the evaluation and critical response, is able of own basic reflection of own work,
