Microbiological taxonomy, anatomy and physiology of microorganisms, pathogenicity, virulence, natural microbiota of a healty organism and its importance. Sampling and sending infectious material, records, filing, transport. Fundamentals and principles of microbiological investigation methods, interpretation of the outcomes of microbiological investigations. Safety and health protection at work Decontamination. General epidemiology and methods of epidemiological work. Nosocomial contagions. General bacteriology. Special bacteriology and special epidemiology. General and special mycology, and mycological epidemiology. General virology. Special virology and special epidemiology. General parasitology. Special parasitology and epidemiology. Antibiotics and chemotherapeutics. Overview of basic immunological techniques. Immunological investigations.
