Course content
|
Atmosphere and its importance for life. Natural processes and civilization processes as a source of air pollution. Energetics and chemical industries as the air polluters. The most important pollutants in the air, the development of air pollutants. Legislative aspects of air pollution. Monitoring of air pollution. Current air pollution in Czech Republic and in Western Bohemia. General principles for liquidation (destruction) of air pollutants. Principles of flue gas desulphuration. Procedure and results of the desulphurisation program in Czech power stations. Excursion to plant supporting (clear) air quality.
