Course content

- Introduction to logistics, logistics approach to problem solving, logistics chains, logistics system. - Material flow, principles of material flow management. - Inventories, warehouses, storage systems, inventory management models. - Transport, handling and transport units, transport and handling equipment. - Logistics technologies in production and distribution. - Distribution systems, structure and management of distribution systems. - Modelling of problems in distribution systems. - Information systems in logistics, automatic identification. - Supply chain management. - Logistics companies, transport and its possibilities in distribution logistics, outsourcing and provision of logistics services in distribution of goods - 2PL, 3PL, 4PL companies.
