Course content
Lectures 1. - 2. Diseases of the nervous system - general principles and principles of physiotherapy, indications and contraindications of balneotherapy. 3. - 4. Mental disorders - general principles and principles of physiotherapy, indications and contraindications of balneotherapy. 5. - 6. Skin diseases - general principles and principles of physiotherapy, indications and contraindications of balneotherapy. 7. - 10. Specifics of balneotherapy in childhood - general principles and principles of physiotherapy, indications and contraindications of balneotherapy. Exercises 1. - 2. Vojta method and techniques derived from reflex locomotion, Kenny method. 3. - 4. McKenzie versus Mulligen approach to radiculopathies, application of modern physical means to diseases of the nervous system. 5. - 6. Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. 7. - 8. Feldenkrais method, Jacobson's relaxation training, Schulz's autogenic training, Hyperalgesic skin zones, insight into the reflex relationships of the skin and internal organs, appropriate means of physical therapy for skin diseases. 9. - 10. Games as a means of physiotherapy for children's clients, didactic aids, physiotherapist in the role of teacher.
