Course content
1. Global overview of holistic medicine and inclusion of holistic physiotherapy, boundaries of Eastern and Western medicine. 2. Ayurveda and its application to the Western population. 3. Yoga and pranayama as one of the possible Eastern approaches to diagnosis and therapy. 4. Traditional Chinese medicine globally. 5. Traditional Chinese medicine as a means of diagnosis and therapy. 6. Breathing techniques according to TCM, QiKung. 7. Connection of visceral physiotherapy, TCM and Ayurveda - focus on the musculoskeletal system. 8. Connection of visceral physiotherapy, TCM and Ayurveda - focus on the digestive system. 9. Connection of visceral physiotherapy, TCM and Ayurveda - focus on gynecology. 10. Other alternative approaches used in physiotherapy (e.g. dry needling, laser puncture).

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 25 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) (1-10) - 8 hours per semester
