Lectures 1. Basic terms. Drug Nomenclature. Sources of Medication Information. Pharmacodynamics. Adverse drug effects - pharmacovigilance. 2. Pharmacokinetics. Dosage forms, dosage types, delivery routes of drug delivery. Drug response variability. Drug interactions. 3. Substances affecting the autonomic nervous system. Spasmolytics and muscle relaxants. Local and general anesthetics. 4. Substances affecting the cardiovascular system and hemostasis. 5. Pharmacological treatment of pain. Hormones in pharmacotherapy. Antibiotics. 6. Substances affecting the respiratory and digestive systems. Substances affecting the CNS. 7. Pharmaceuticals used in emergency medicine. 8. Basics of clinical toxicology. The most common causes of poisoning. Acute, subacute, chronic poisoning. 9. Addictive substances. Toxicological examination, treatment of intoxications, antidotes. 10. Credit test.
