Lectures 1. Cell physiology. Getting energy. Cell membrane polarization. Ion channels and their functions. Resting a action potential. 2. Physiology of muscle tissue. 3. Physiology of blood. Function of hemoglobin and its metabolism. Energy balance of erythrocytes. Sedimentation. Hematocrit. Leukocyte - division, function, phagocytosis. Differential blood count. Thrombocyte - Function. Hemostasis. Mechanism of hemocoagulation. Fibrinolysis. 4. Physiology of the immune system. Specific and nonspecific immunity. 5. Physiology of cardiovascular system. Electric cardiomyocyte activity, resting and action potential. ECG. Cardiac cycle. Starling's Law. External manifestations of cardiac activity. Hemodynamics of blood circulation. Flow and pressure in arteries. Microcirculation. Blood flow and pressure in the veins. Blood circulation management. Lymphatic system. 6. Physiology of respiratory system. 7. Physiology of excretion - kidney activity. Control of kidney function. 8. Physiology of GIT - mechanical function, regulation mechanisms, formation of juices and enzymes and tissue hormones, resorption of nutrients and minerals, basal metabolism, energy equivalent. Transformation of substances and energies. 9. Physiology of the endocrine system. 10. Physiology of sexual systems. Menstrual cycle. 11. Mechanism of nervous control - hierarchy of CNS effects on peripheral organs. 12. Learning, memory, sleep. 13. Physiology of senses - vision, hearing. 14.
