Course content
Lectures 1. Lever - definition, diagram, division of levers, (lever I. - III. order), example. Biological tissue - connective tissue, cartilage, bone, tendon, mechanical properties of tissues, skin, scar 2. Muscle force - rotational and joint component. Skeletal muscle - tension, activity, division of muscles - categorization of fibers (FG, SO, FOG.). 3. Muscle contraction - influencing factors. Passive and active muscle insufficiency. 4. Motor unit - division. Neuromuscular spindle, Golgi tendon organ. Principles of operation. 5. Spinal servomechanism. Reciprocal motor innervation. Control of motoneuron - spinal level, spinal motor circuit. Alpha and gamma MN, interneuron 6. Receptor - types. Pathway of superficial and deep sensation. Types of nerve fibers. 7. Spinal sensory pathways - direct and indirect. 8. Corticospinal, corticobulbar pathways, spastic paresis. Peripheral motor neuron disorder. 9. Function of the reticular formations and limbic system. Function of the cerebellum. Function of the basal ganglia. 10. Movement analysis. Center of gravity, balance, positions. Limits of stability, postural stability, posture, attitude. 11. Kinesiological model of punctum fixum, punctum mobile, degrees of freedom, kinematic chains. Spinal nerve - structure, spinal segment. Nerve damage and its assessment.
