Selected authentic texts and topics relate to the following areas of modern social life in German speaking countries: - Germans engaged in something - community services and institutions - differences between Czech and German culture - home, Europe, world - human society and present problems

| learning outcomes |

| Students are able: - to understand the main idea of difficult texts concerning concrete or abstract topics, including professionally specialized discussions in his own specialization - to take part in conversation fluently and spontaneously, so they can talk to native without making greater effort for both of participants - to formulate various elaborate topics in speech (possibly in written text) - to explain their point of view concerning the topical problem. Students also talk about advantages and disadvantages of the mentioned possibilities. |
