Suggested course topics: selected areas of syntax and stylistics of the English language basics of pragramtics functional styles contrastive view of English and Czech

have a command of English corresponding to B1 level according to CEFRL define adequately particular language levels be well-informed about language typology use the fundamental specialist terminology from the field of morphosyntax name basic English conjunctions and their meanings

use the fundamental specialist terminology for the basic description of grammatical phenomena demonstrate the knowledge of basic English phrasal verbs use adequately the basic specialist terminology from the field of English morphosyntax demonstrate the knowledge of verb patterns in English classify basic English conjuctions well according to their meanings
