Course content
|
1 week Learning outcomes and requirements for the exam. Curriculum repetition. 2nd week Translation of the French text to the Czech language, repetition of translation procedures. 3rd week Translation of economic texts from French to Czech (topic: unemployment, work for young people), critical analysis of translation. 4th week Translation of economic text from Czech to French (topic: economic recovery) and from French to Czech (topic: unfair competition). 5th week Translation of the text from the area of law and trade translation of the contract for delivery of goods. 6th week Translation of a business letter into French. Week 7 Translation of business terms from French into Czech. Week 8 Translation of business terms from French into Czech. Repetition of translation procedures. Week 9 Translation of instructions for use from Czech to French. 10th week Translation of instructions for use from Czech to French. 11th week Translation of the EU Directive from French into Czech. Stylistic adaptations of professional translation. Week 12 Part 1 of the written exam: translation of the text from French to Czech, focusing on current political and economic events in society. Week 13 2nd part of the written exam: translation of the text from Czech into French, focusing on the current political and economic events in society.
